Hi, I’m Silvestre Perret.

I’m an Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) Engineer that loves to build and ship impactful pieces of software. Bonus points if they involve data and machine learning.

Over the years, I’ve built complex multi-step ML pipelines, analyzed BIG and messy datasets, run internet-scale AB tests, optimized SQL databases. Since 2023, I embarked on the Generative AI wave and built the main Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) system for a Nasdaq 100 company. Lately, I have been working on converting “entreprise” software for the AI and Agent era, building MCP servers, skills and safe code-execution environment for AI generated code.

I’m trying my hand at writing.

I can work solo but I thrive with emulation from motivated peers. I’ve done multiple freelance missions and helped startups and SMEs to get their data projects off the ground.

When I’m neither coding or thinking about my next blog post, you can find me playing video games, experimenting new recipes in the kitchen or enjoying the beautiful national parks of Québec, Canada.
